Building a "Haunted Chic" Photo Frame - Beverly Hills Art Show, Fall 2017

Shopping List

- 1 Large Frame

- 1/2 Quart of Charcoal-Colored Paint, White & Burnt Orange Acrylic Paint

- White Paint Pen

- Large Help Ribbon & Halloween Dried Flowers/Decorations

- Hot Glue Gun 

Step #1: Painting The Frame

For this "Haunted Chic" look we decided to paint our frame with a spooky charcoal black!

Step #2: Blank Canvas

Once you've painted the frame with 2-3 layers of paint, let it dry for at least 2 hours before adding decorations. 

Step #3: Sketch It!

Think of this step as your rough draft, an outline of how you want the final frame to look. Sketch it on separate piece of paper. Next, using a pencil write out the title of your event on the frame itself. Be aware of spacing!

Step #4: Bare Bones Decorations

Make a bow a large bow with the ribbon and use push pins to adjust where you'd like it to be. Once you've determined the appropriate space between the text and bow, go over the text with the white paint pen. 

Step #5: The Final Touches

Using your hot glue gun start gluing your accessories around the frame. Layer textures on the top left hand corner and bottom right hand corner to frame your text. 

Final Product: Picture Perfect!
