First Fridays 2019 at the Natural History Museum

Another amazing series of events Premiere LA was proud to be part of!!

For 4 months this year, the Natural History Museum hosted an evening of Dj’s, bands, environmental discussions with guest speakers, food trucks, and a unique way to experience all the in-house exhibits after hours…all while enjoying your favorite cocktail, beer, or wine provided by Premiere LA .

This year's theme was "Forces of Nature." Facts were revealed and myths were busted about the four horsemen of the Golden State apocalypse: fire, drought, flood, and earthquakes. On the final night in June, the focus was on California's history with earthquakes.

LA Homecoming!

On July 6th we had the honor of helping the organization Women of Concerned Black Men of LA put on the fundraising event: LA Homecoming (A Black Tie Turn Up!)

This was a special event for us and we are proud donors to this organization. We were more than willing to assist in putting on this black tie event. Everyone dressed to impress and we got to see the best dressed crowned LA Homecoming King and Queen!

Part of the revenue from this event goes towards getting school supplies for black youth in low income areas. It was a wholesome feeling knowing that our work and our contributions benefitted the community. We had a splendid time being a part of an event and organization that pays it forward by giving back to our LA.

First Fridays at the Natural History Museum- June

The event on June 1st included a vintage car display and discussions Seleta Reynolds, General Manager, Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT)  Brian D. Taylor Director of Transportation Studies, UCLA and Dan Koeppel.

We were so lucky to see performances by DJ Anne Litt, Madame Gandhi, Duckwrth and Tuxedo. We also got to hear awesome performances in the DJ Lounge by Kristi Lomax and Smile Davis.

We are thankful we have been able to work with the Natural History Museum for the series of First Fridays this year. It was a great experience to be part of these successful events.

Building A Floral Photo Frame - Beverly Hills Art Show

The Beverly Hills Art Show is always one of our favorite events, because we have the opportunity to get inspired by some of the community's most talented artists. This year we had a little artistic fun of our own and constructed a floral photo frame. With social media in mind, we decided to set up the frame in our Beer and Wine Gardens located at the Art Show. It was not only a fun project for us, but a total hit with our guests!

Check out how the Premiere Events team created this unique photo frame.

Step #1: Our Vision - Designing Our Frame

sketch design by premiere event's digital marketing intern caleigh wells

sketch design by premiere event's digital marketing intern caleigh wells

Our vision for this project began with brainstorming the color scheme, size, theme and functionality of the frame. We strove to design something that guests would want to pose with and post to their social media platforms - something fun, floral and festive! We ultimately decided on white for the body of the frame with purple text and floral accents to represent the Premiere Events colors!

Step #2: Finding Our Frame

premiere event's brian & Jacques posing by unfinished photo frame

premiere event's brian & Jacques posing by unfinished photo frame

In order to execute our vision, we went on the hunt for a frame that matched the dimensions, functionality and style for taking photos. We purchased an old wooden frame from a local thrift shop. Its shabby, "bare bones" exterior didn't scare us from jumping into the project right away!

Step #3: Painting Our Frame

Blank Canvas! Utilizing over 3 coats of acrylic paint for full coverage, we painted the wooden frame in an egg-shell white color.

Step #4: Fun, Floral Finishing Touches

final floral photo frame before the beverly hills art show, 2017

final floral photo frame before the beverly hills art show, 2017

We wanted our frame to have an artistic, "hand-made" look, so we carefully painted the text by hand and glued the purple and white silk flowers to the frame for the perfect photo finish!

The Final Product - Picture Perfect!

The Spring Beverly Hills Art 2017

Another one for the books! The past few years we have had the honor of working at the Beverly Hills Art show for the biannual event. We provide a Beer and Wine Garden that has both refreshing beverages and tasty treats. This year was a special one for us. Not only do we get to be surrounded by the artwork of so many talented artists, but we were able to add some creativity of our own. We tried out a new food menu at both gardens and it was a success! Some of the new items included Ortega Burger Sliders, Vegan Chili Dogs, Deep Fried Tempura Beer Battered Pickles, Strawberry Salad, House Pickled Veggie Crudite and so much more. We want to thank all of you that joined us this year, and we hope to see you at the next one!
