On Thursday, November 9th, Joni Mitchell celebrated her birthday at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. The artist herself graced the stage and welcomed everyone to the event and proceeded to direct everyone’s attention to a film screening of “The Fiddle and the Drum.” In summary, this film included many of Joni Mitchell’s songs which were choreographed by Jean Grand-Maitre from the Alberta Ballet Company. The ballet piece was centered around the issues with our planet’s ecological diminishing and humanity’s problem with war.

After the film was presented, the celebration truly started and throughout the evening, Premiere Events served cocktails and beer options from our bar. To complement these drinks and light snacks, there were hundreds of pieces of cake distributed to the crowd after Joni Mitchell blew out her birthday candles. Afterwards, there was a question and answer portion of the evening where fans were able to speak with Joni Mitchell aa she shared stories of her proudest moments. It was a beautiful evening for all who attended.
